What data we process, why, and how you can control it.
This policy explains what personal data Marula Restaurant processes when you visit marularestaurant.com, contact us or book a table, and what you can do about it. Last updated: October 21, 2026.

We do not sell your personal data.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and, when campaigns are running, the Google Ads and Meta measurement tags. These tools set the cookies in the table. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

When you click links to OpenTable, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp, those services may set their own cookies. Their own policies apply.
4. Who we share data with
- Netlify: the platform that hosts the site and receives the forms.
- Google: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and corporate email (Google Workspace).
- Meta: WhatsApp, if you write to us that way, and the Meta pixel to measure advertising.
- OpenTable: reservation management.
- Technology or accounting providers who assist us, under confidentiality obligations.
We may also share data when a competent authority legally requires it.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside Panama, including the United States. We aim to work with providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries by form, WhatsApp or email: as long as needed to answer them.
- Reservations: managed and kept by OpenTable under its own policy. Marula does not store that data.
- Analytics data: according to the period set in Google Analytics.
7. Your rights
You may ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive a portable copy. Write to contacto@marularestaurant.com saying which right you want to use. We reply within 30 days. If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you may contact the data protection authority in your country.
8. Children
The site is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee it.
10. Links to other sites
The site links to OpenTable, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, TripAdvisor and WhatsApp. We do not control their privacy practices; we recommend reading their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version will be published on this page with its update date.
